Chicago, IL – Progressive reformer and Democratic candidate for Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Jacob Meister, filed nominating petitions today at the Cook County Board of Elections.
The filing of petitions today caps an impressive fall season in the campaign in which Meister topped all candidates in 3rd quarter fundraising, leveraged hundreds of volunteers with his reform message, received key progressive endorsements including the Northside Democracy for America, exceeded all candidates in social media engagement and has a campaign team with top professionals in their fields.
“We are excited to turn in our petitions and start focusing on our campaign to restore trust in our court system. I personally collected almost 2000 signatures and was able to talk to thousands of voters across Cook County who are demanding reform in the clerk of court’s office. There is a reform wave happening in Cook County. Just like the voters chose Fritz Kaegi and Lori Lightfoot, I believe voters will choose me over the other candidates who are all political machine insiders and part of a system packed with ethical conflicts and a history of pay-to-play politics.” said Jacob Meister
